![]() He was a founding partner of Ross Pope & Company (1949), a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario, and both a municipal auditor and a public accountant. Ross in 1937 and starting a public accountancy career that would span nine decades (1937-2010). Reg was a Chartered Accountant joining G.N. He never left Timmins after that except to serve his country in World War II with the RCAF (and incidentally to meet the girl who would be his wife for 67 years). Reg came to Timmins in 1924 with his mother Mabel to join his father Harry who was working as a labourer at the Hollinger Gold Mine. Late on Thursday night Reg got his birthday wish six days early. Reg was predeceased by his wife Graye on Maafter a marriage of 67 years. In addition to his long, distinguished professional career, he was a successful businessman as a founding director of Canadian Jamieson Gold Mine, Pinto Stores Limited and Northland (Ontario) Trust. He authored the study that established the financial feasibility of the new City of Timmins. Jennifer serves on the SLVHCS Whole Health Steering Committee, the VISN 16 Whole Health Steering Committee, and Jennifer is one of two Network Education Coordinators for Whole Health for VISN 16, where she trains and strategizes with sites across VISN 16 in the best practice delivery care model of Whole Health for our Veterans.Reginald Pope Late on Thursday night Reg got his birthday wish six days early. ![]() Jennifer also participates in the weekly Employee Tai Chi program at SLVHCS. Along with two colleagues, Jennifer developed this 12 week group focused on arming Veterans with the holistic practice of adaptive Tai Chi, breathwork, and mindfulness, to combat symptoms of anxiety. Since 2018, Jennifer leads the Tai Chi for Managing Anxiety and PTSD group in the Ambulatory Mental Health Clinic. ![]() ![]() Jennifer primarily serves as Education and Training Coordinator for Social Work Service, training MSW interns and licensed Social Workers for the service, in addition to running a small clinic in Ambulatory Mental Health, focused on trauma-informed therapies. Jennifer Buras, LCSW-BACS is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker serving Veterans at the New Orleans VA Medical Center (SLVHCS).
